Every autumn starts in The Hague with a touch of Oriental beauty.
After the happy colors of the spring, the Japanese Garden offers its warm and contemplative embrace for a few days in October.
The atmosphere is completely different and it helps our brain prepare to the new season and the upcoming cold. The small paths are now covered with yellow and scarlet leaves, which lazily lie on the surface of the little canals and the pond. The intense perfume of the flowers give space to the musky scent of humid ground.
It’s a new kind of performance what you can enjoy in the Japanese Garden in October: the set seems the same, but you will be the walking spectator of a different show.

Spring: April 25 to June 7, 9: 00-20: 00

The municipality of Den Haag has always taken great care of the Japanese garden, for its uniqueness and the huge historical value. The garden, in fact, since 2001 is part of a list of national historical monuments.
Because of its fragility, the Japanese Garden is open for few days a year, in spring and autumn.
You can reach Clingendael two entrances: Van Alkemadelaan and Wassenaarseweg. From Den Haag Centraal you can take bus 18 and get off at the last stop.
The entrance to the whole park is free and there is the possibility to park nearby.
